I see a cross-the lifespan with a special interest in pediatric patients and adolescents. I see patients as young as 6 years old and as old as 85!

I am in network with Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Connecticare, Optum , Oxford and Husky (Medicaid).
All other insurances are out of pocket, our organization does supply super bills to access reimbursement via out of network benefits.

To cancel your appointment, please email admin@jennasmithaprn.com This also puts a time stamp on your cancellation request, so you do not incur the late cancellation fee provided it is less than 1 business day
Existing patients can use the MyIO app to request a different appointment time

All clinical questions should be put into the patient portal. This portal is manned by a team of nurses. The nursing care team responds within 1-2 business days.
The portal is useful for side effects question, to request your controlled prescription to be moved to another pharmacy, or to notify the care team that your pharmacy has updated you a medication needs a prior authorization
No medication changes are completed outside a visit or via portal
You can also use the portal to upload clinical information from other providers to be included into your chart
All communication with your provider needs to happen within your patient portal. Email or text will not receive a response

Please use your MyIO application to schedule appointment and email admin@jennasmithaprn.com to be place on the waiting list for a sooner appointment.

At each visit, you’ll be provide with sufficient medications to last until next visit.
Per our professional fee agreement, patients who no show/late cancel their visit will be provides medications when they are seen and assessed again.
In the event of your provider having an emergency, your medications will be automatically refilled to your pharmacy on file until your rescheduled appointment.
No requests for refill should be made outside the portal. Emails or calls to administration related to medications will receive no response.
Our software sends a text message to your phone on file as soon as a prescription is sent to your pharmacy for review.
Prior to making an inquiry about refills in the patient portal, please call your pharmacy to make sure there are no refills for you on file
To ensure safe prescribing;
I do not prescribe benzodiapines and apiates together
I do not fill controlled medications early
I must be the only provider managing you or your child’s psychiatric medications
If it is discovered that you are receiving controls from another provider or filling a discontinued prescription, it grounds for immediate discharge
There’s a nation wide shortage of Vyvanse generic, which is expected to end in May 2024. At this time, you may have to call multiple pharmacies to find your medications. When calling to find your medications, please check if they have the chewable version on the file. Requests to move your prescription should be put in the patient portal. You will need to provide the name of the pharmacy, address, and phone number as well as information about generic versus brand Vyvanse with dose and capsule versus chewable. During this time, our nursing team is trying to check the portal with with greater frequency to facilitate moving these medications to different pharmacies

All billing inquiries should be directed to our billing team - billing@jennasmithaprn.com
Our practice does not bill, if you are using an insurance benefit, after the billing team receives your explanation of benefits which details what is covered by your insurance and what is your responsibility. Whatever is your responsibility, is automatically charged to the card on the file
Self-pay fees copays are charged within 1-2 business days
An updated credit card must be kept on file to be seen- this can be updated in the billing section of MyIO.

Routine documentation to school to administer medication within the school day are completely at no charge
Any other documentation requests are charged in 15 mins intervals at $75 which needs to be paid prior to provider completing these forms
This organization does not complete social security disability forms but will provide you with your records if you feel it will be helpful to your case. Please draft an email to our privacy officer kelly@jennasmithaprn.com. The charge for records is $0.50 per page and $14.95 postage per UPS. This must be paid prior to records being released
